Consanguineous relatives of a patient with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCMP) were examined. Asymmetric hypertrophy of the interventricular septum with signs of obstruction of the left ventricular outflow tract was detected in the patients's brother. Hypertrophy of the left ventricular posterior wall and Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome (WPW, type A) was detected in the patients's daughter. This case demonstrated a diversity of HCMP clinical, electrocardiographic and echocardiographic signs among the members of the same family.
