    The World Health Organization today identified 10 major health risks it said accounted for up to 40 percent of the 56 million deaths around the world each year. The 10 risks are lack of food, unsafe sex, high blood pressure, smoking, alcohol, unsafe water or sanitation, high cholesterol, nutritional deficiencies, obesity and indoor smoke from cooking or heating fires, predominantly in Africa and South Asia.
