Abstract:

I am pleased to introduce this very important and far-reaching National HIV/AIDS and STIs Policy document on Ghana. Essentially, the Policy will address the very serious health and developmental challenges that have received the attention of governments and the world's health and scientific community. The Government of Ghana is committed to improving the health and social well-being of all of its citizens and residents. Government is also aware of the obvious threat that the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) poses to the achievement of our national development pals enshrined in the VISION 2020 document.
