Abstract:
The author discusses abortion trends and changing social conditions in Austria and the establishment and nature of the Austrian family counseling system. Included is information on attendance at family planning centers in Salzburg during the period 1977-1979. These data are analyzed with reference to type of center; reasons for attendance; and age, sex, occupation, marital status, and family size of those visiting the centers.
